A few years ago when The Drake opened it wasn’t for me, or at least I didn’t think so. I was 28 years old and my boss Kaaren was meeting friends there and I offered to drop her off on my way home. Now she at this time was 40, so my thinking went along the lines of…if my 40 year old boss thinks this place is cool it’s not for me. Wrong, wrong wrong. She just happened to know what great entertainment, food and the complete experience were all about. Nine years later and still going strong The Drake has made it’s way into my heart.
I’ve been at least two dozen times for various events, dinners, drinks and lunch. All of which never left me with anything but a feeling of wow, these guys really get it. And they do, now one of my clients I have an good understanding of what they are trying to achieve and they really know how to get the best talent to deliver on all levels. But I’m not here today to talk about their amazing business model, but how great their Fish Taco’s are!
Two weeks ago on a beautiful sunny Wednesday afternoon I meet a client there for lunch and was advised to try their delish fish taco’s. Now I have had fish taco’s in the past and they have left me with a feeling of meh…what’s all the fuss about. This was different, way different. These sweet, crunchy, juicy taco’s are full of shredded cabbage, salsa, sour cream, lime on a soft corn tortilla. Simple yes, but simple most times is the best kind of food. The excellent vibe on the patio mixed with good company are always a plus.
Short, sweet to the point, go grab a cheap lunch at The Drake, they have Fish Taco’s all the time. I know I will be there again soon!
